Annotated Bibliography

The majority of my research was done through my annotated bibliographies. I grasped the basis of concussions through the digestion of the research I completed to write a thorough essay. You can access the bibliographies by clicking More Info below.

I provided several links from trusted sites to reinforce the information I provided in the About subsections. There are links to websites, an article, two videos, and my blog. Those can all be acquired from clicking More Info.

About

I focused my research specifically on the signs, symptoms, treatment, and preventive measures of a concussion. My essential question highlights the influences on the diagnosis of a concussion, which includes the presentation of signs and symptoms of the patient, how the patient can be treated, and the prevention. The information I gathered can be seen below by clicking More Info.

"I'm sure there have been guys who didn't realize they had a concussion and just kept playing. It's a violent game. The head injuries are the most dangerous to play with. We're trained to play no matter what. If you can run, and you're able to focus and know your responsibilities, you're usually out there playing. You wouldn't have enough players if no one played hurt. Especially if you're, like, on special teams, you're going to do everything you can to stay in the game." - Kansas City Chiefs safety Mike Brown.
